Areva Med appoints Julien Dodet as new Chief Executive Officer

Paris La Défense, France

AREVA Med today announced the appointment of Julien Dodet as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dodet replaces AREVA Med founder Patrick Bourdet, who has decided to resign from the company.

Mr. Dodet joined AREVA in 2011 as Strategic Planning Vice President and he most recently was Chairman and General Manager of AREVA NP in China, responsible for the development of AREVA’s Reactors and Services subsidiary in the fastest growing market.

Prior to joining AREVA, Mr. Dodet has held several positions at Saint-Gobain and at the Boston Consulting Group, a management consulting company, where he managed several projects as Project Leader and Principal. Mr Dodet holds a Master of Science from the Ecole Polytechnique and a Master of International Business from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.

“Julien Dodet brings strong strategic and business development experience, with a proven track record across multiple industries and countries,” said Philippe Knoche, CEO of AREVA. “We welcome Julien and look forward to his contributions to pursue AREVA Med successful development with a broader project pipeline, additional strategic alliances and an expanded footprint”, added Philippe Knoche.

“Patrick Bourdet founded AREVA Med and built a very robust and promising organization with scientific and production activities on both sides of the Atlantic. We recognize and deeply appreciate his vision, entrepreneurship and significant contributions and effort to develop AREVA Med and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” said Philippe Knoche.
